This novella is basis of the great movie arrival. It discusses the issue of language and free will. Through the encounter with alien who perceives the world and evey thing one time ..they seee the past the present and the future together . Men see the world sequential, that is the future is the result of the present and the present is the product of the past.
Very thought provoking and enjoyable to read.
